The spacing elements and superfluous holding and tension relieving elements (3) in the opened up and casing stripped section are removed. Plastic capillary tubes (5) are pushed under the cable casing in the intermediate spaces. A thin watery quick hardening compound filler is forced in to the plastic capillary tubes (5), after which with the compound mass hardening in about ten minutes, the plastic capillary tubes are shortened. A cuff (8) with a short filling stub (9) is shrunk over a layer of gauze strip, and a normally hardened filling compound (10) is pressed in the filling stub (9). Firstly capillary tubes (5) and the filling stub (9) is fixed on it. ADVANTAGE - Gives better sealing compared to penetration of normal sealing mass. Gives good sealing without risk of damage to cable casing or core.
