NMR spectroscopy using HF pulse sequence - uses HF magnetic field with larmor frequency of substance to be detected e.g. for coupled atomic groups such as lactate
The nuclear resonance spectroscopy method involves applying a number of sequences, each contg. at least 3 HF pulses, to a region of investigation in the presence of a homogeneous stationary magnetic field and detecting the stimulated echo signals. The detected echo signals are Fourier transformed. During the interval between the first and second HF pulses a HF magnetic field is applied with lower power than the HF pulses and with a frequency corresp. to the Larmor frequency of one of the coupled atomic groups in a substance to be detected. USE/ADVANTAGE - Enables substances with coupled atomic groups, e.g. lactate, to be detected without some problems associated with conventional techniques.
