The milling device consists of a motor driven chisel roller (1) which is adjustable for height and is mounted between a fixed bearing (2) carrying the drive gear, and a free bearing (3). The fixed bearing includes a self centring toothed cone for holding and driving the roller (1), and on the other side the free bearing also includes a self centring cone. The arm holding the free bearing end of the roller (1) to the machine body is controlled by a hydraulic ram (16) which moves in the axial direction of the roller (1). USE/ADVANTAGE - The roller can be easily removed and exchanged for another of the required width.
