A test arrangement for solid state gas sensors contains a housing (3) which can be mounted on the filter body and its enclosing electrical heating (3) or on a protective tube. The housing has an external line (5) for input of test gas and internal apertures (6) for entry of the test gas directly above the gas sensitive region (7). The inner wall (8) carries guiding elements which induce bidirectional gas flow. The gas is fed towards an axial gas (15) outlet by grooves (14). ADVANTAGE - Eliminates disturbances caused by air flows even when small test gas flows are used and enables sensors with and without electrical heating to be tested.
