The sliver drawing appts. has a number of paired rollers with one pair as slip rollers. A dedicated passage zone is provided for each sliver, axially sepd. from each other, which can be distorted independently of each other. Pref. one roller of the paired slip rollers has a ring groove, covered by a pliable component such as a rubber cuff, to give the individual passage zones. At least one roller of the slip roller pair, has a covering with two axially displaced ring beads, in a ballooning effect, as the passage zones. ADVANTAGE - The appts. is suitable for drawing sliver of long staple fibres, esp. for pneumatic false twist spinning machines.
