The valve is used for dosing mixtures of materials in the liquid-gas range. It uses a liquid gas-liquid phase dosing-evaporation valve in which a liquid gas sample of predefined vol. is diverted from a liquid gas flow and fed into a carrier gas flow to an analyser and suddenly evaporated. The sample is fed into an evaporation loop (13) of the carrier gas flowing to the analyser. The flow to the analyser is broken before the loop and fed to the analyser via an auxiliary loop (19). One side of the evaporation loop is capillary vented to atmosphere. The liquid gas ejects some carrier gas via the vent and then occupies part of the loop in gaseous form. The carrier and sample gases are than fed to the analyser. USE/ADVANTAGE - For use in gas chromatographic liquid gas investigations for reproducible extraction of suitable quantities of liquid gas without forming bubbles.
