In a highly radioactive liq. waste transport container, which prevents leakage on attack with hollow charges, the novelty is that (a) initial leakage prevention is provided by the waste container being surrounded by an outer liq.-filled container to prevent permanent existence of a projectile track connecting the waste with the external atmos.; and (b) subsequent leakage is prevented by terminating leakage of the liq. before exposure of the inner waste container. ADVANTAGE - The design avoids the need for heavy structural materials and allows projectile passage while reliably preventing waste leakage.
