The surgical gauge corrects rotation errors when inserting and fixing bone plates after parting and twisting tubular bones. It has two swivellably interconnected components (1,2), fastenable onto the bone. They have mating portions (3,4), by which they swivel w.r.t. each other and coaxially w.r.t. the bone. A locking device (7,8) secures them in the desired positions w.r.t. each other. ADVANTAGE - Simple design for defined twisting and aligning of tubular bones.
