Tank gas exhaust system used when refilling - has storage vessel in gas and fuel pipes between tanks

The system exhausts the gas-filled space from a tank when refilling from a storage tank and returns it to the latter. A gastight storage vessel (3) is mounted in the gas-return pipe (9) and liquid-supply pipe (4) between the tanks. In a first stage, the liq. flows from the vessel into the tank (1) to be replenished, gas being simultaneously exhausted from the latter by the vacuum and temporarily stored in the vessel. In a second stage, the vessel is refilled from the storage tank (2), the gas being expelled from the vessel back into the tank.
