Two temp. sensors (5, 6) respectively near the heart and on a foot of the recumbent infant (4) are wired via amplifiers (15, 16) to a measurement processor (12). A fan (10) maintains the flow (7) of warm air from a heater (9) under the cradle (3). The actual core temp. and the difference between the two temps. are separately displayed (13, 14) for comparison with desired settings (17, 18). The heater (9) is switched (19) automatically and in fever or shocked conditions an coustic alarm (21) gives a corresp. visual indication (TEXT). ADVANTAGE - The patient`s comfort is better safeguarded with attention to temp. of the trunk and extremities.
