Processor with two or more accumulators - uses accumulator pointer, operation code, operation pointer to identify accumulator contents and identification memory contents for bracket operation
Processor with two or more accumulators - uses accumulator pointer, operation code, operation pointer to identify accumulator contents and identification memory contents for bracket operation
A processor has at least two accumulators (A1-A4) for conducting arithmetic operations as well as loading and transfer operations. An accumulator pointer (Az) indicates which accumulator is allocated for an operation. An operation identification code (Ok) correspondint to the bracket operation is placed in an identification memory (KS) with several regions (B1-B4) associated with the accumulators. An operation pointer (Oz) points to the region from which the contents are to be combined, by using the bracket operation, with the contents of the accumulator indicated by the accumulator pointer (Az). ADVANTAGE - The arrangement simplifies the performance of digital functions, especially computations.
