摘要
Method of producing porous high temperature ceramic bodies consists of mixing together mullite, corundum, spinel or graphite of grain size 0.01-0.1 mm with starch, cellulose or other hydrocarbon which upon heating at 1600 deg.C in air forms a highly elastic adhesive. ADVANTAGE - The bodies have high crack resistance under high stress conditions without the need for fibre additives. Upon heating and cooling the bodies do not change volume or shape
