New hybridoma Han-41 and its corresp. antibody - recognise glyco-protein found in broncho-alveolar system; useful as cell differentiation markers and to classify human lung
The hybridoma cell line Han-41 (DSM ACC2002) is new. It is made by fusing spleen cells, taken from a mouse which has been immunised with an immunogen from an epithelial cell line (HFBE) from the bronchus of a human female foetus in the 18th week of gestation with myeloma cells. Also new are monoclonal antibodies SEC-41 (IgG1, kappa; recognising a glycoprotein of mol.wt. about 52000) produced (as sole antibody) by this cell line. USE/ADVANTAGE - SEC-41 is useful (1) as a differentiation marker for secretary cells in adult human bronchial epithelium; (2) as a marker for development of Clara and type II pneumocytes in human foetal lungs and (3) as diagnostic marker for sub-typing human pulmonary adenocarcinoma
