Assembly parts are loaded into the carrier at assembly stations (3) spaced along a conveyor (2) which feeds a steady stream of carriers to the stations. One assembly station is required for each part to be loaded into the carrier. An assembly station has an input sheel (9), assembly wheel (6) with pockets (7), and output wheel (10), all of which rotate synchronously and continuously. Feeding into the assembly wheel is the chute (46) of a bowl feeder (71) containing the assembly part to be loaded into the carrier. Carriers, moved along the conveyor belt by friction are picked off one-by-one by the input wheel, transferred to the assembly wheel where the part is inserted, and returned to the conveyor by the output wheel. Movement of the carrier through the process is uniform and continuous and correct orientation of the carrier is preserved. ADVANTAGE - Correct location of parts is ensured.
