An electromagnetic compatibility or EMC test chamber has a metallic enclosed chamber screen, electric and magnetic test field generators. The walls of the chamber and the test object can be moved to produce the maximum resonance field strength at the desired test frequency. One or more identical rod antennas (11) protrude vertically into the chamber (1) to produce electric field stimulation with vertical polarisation at the chamber roof (6) and horizontal polarisation at a fixed or movable side wall. The antennas are arranged in a region of high electric field line density. USE/ADVANTAGE - The arrangement achieves efficient and economical field generation for an EMC chamber with resonance fields.
