The photosensitive detector, fitted to the windscreen, converts light into electrical signals which are used in an electronic circuit to operate a relay for switching the lamps according to the variations in ambient light. Interfacing wavelengths are filtered out to maintain a defined switching point, whose sensitivity can be adjusted continuously throughout its range. The switching can also be delayed by adjustment of the switching point independently of sensitivity. USE/ADVANTAGE - For automatic can lamp dimming, with increased safety and driver's comfort.
