The short wave direction finder for a motor vehicle can be operated whereby the antenna voltage and intermediate frequency are simultaneosuly switched to enable two antenna voltages to be monitored quasi-simultaneously. The direction finding is based on focussing the short waves through the roof of the vehicle. Two reception lobes are formed by two antennas mounted on the left and right at the rear of the vehicle. The antenna signals are compared to determine the diretion. ADVANTAGE - When used in competitions, arrangement can result in time savings.
