Addn. prods. (I) of rubbers and 4-(3,5-dicarboxyphenyl)-1,2,4- triazoline-3,5-dione (II) are claimed. Also claimed are cpd. (II), isocyanato-isophthalic acid (III) and di-(1-4C alkyl) esters of (III). Adducts (I) pref. contain 9-35 (pref. 0.25-9) wt.% (II); the base rubber contains at least one C=C double bond per 1000 C atoms. USE/ADVANTAGE - Provides modified diene rubbers (I) with elevated thermal dimensional stability, improved rubber-elastic properties, thermoplastic processability, no yield point, high elastic modulus, high resilience with high elongation, and relatively high service temps., useful, e.g. for the prodn. of seals, heels, shoe soles, collars, membranes, shock absorbers, bottle stoppers, film, belts, straps and bump
