The cylinder rams pass through the cylinder block (Fig II) and are actuated by admitting oil or air to chambers in the middle of the block. The rams are arranged side-by-side in the block with linked chambers producing simultaneous actuation of the ram series. Thus a stack of different sections can be set up for example on a saw table and simultaneously clamped. ADVANTAGE - Simpler and easy to manufacture.
