The regulating method is for current symmetry in inverter sets supplying an electric drive motor. A control device provides potential setting commands (SU...SW) for opposing parallel operation of the current regulator power semiconductors (TA1...TB6). The detected shunt currents (iqu) are used for shunt current regulation temporarily inverting the potential setting commands (SU...SW) when the permissible positive or negative shunt current value is exceeded, to bring the shunt current back below this valve. ADVANTAGE - Prevents excessive shunt currents between parallel inverters
