The HPLC column comprises a non-metallic material e.g. PEEK, Teflon (RTM), KEL-F (RTM), Tefzel (RTM) and other non-metallic materials which are solvent resistant and have high metallic strength. The column end has a metallic column adapter (claimed). The column is situated in a metal column holder having an internal- or external thread. The column has a filter-sieve-sandwich-packet which is a combination of metal-free and glass fibre filter. USE/ADVANTAGE - The metal-free HPLC column is used in ion chromatography. The column can be screwed on as often as desired and with sufficient force without being rendered unusable.
