The stretcher locating platform (6) is for releasable attachment in an ambulance etc. and has two longitudinal rails (74, 75), which are connected by traverses (14-17) and cross-ties (25, 26, 27), together with links, so that frames are formed which can be folded together. In the front area of the platform is a support which is height-adjustable and articulated. In its central area, the platform is fixed to a horizontal, transverse swivel axis (7), which at its ends is located in holders (8, 9) in the sides of the vehicle. The foldable stretcher locating platform is swivellable between a horizontal, arrestable usage position, and one where it is inclined backwards and downwards. When folded together, it is swivellable into a vertical rest position. USE/ADVANTAGE - For rapid emergency vehicle conversion to an ambulance, with simple operation and compact design when not in use.
