The valve (15) has a deep drawn magnetic material element (10) insulated into the main body. Located within this a former (17) supports the excitation coil (16) of the device. The armature element (37) is located within a deep drawn guide bush (25) of a non-magnetic material. This is enclosed at one end (25). The cylindrical armature has an extension pin (35) that passes through a hole in the magnetic pole piece (32). The end of the pin engages against a ball (53) that acts as a valve to control the flow of fluid from an inlet (P) to are outlet (A). ADVANTAGE - Has large pole surface and low air gap resistance for high magnetic force.
