Linear measuring rectifier for high frequency signals - has comparator with rectifier and DC voltage amplifier in feedback loop

The linear measuring rectifier has a comparator with an input for a high frequency signal. The comparator output is connected to the input of a rectifier whose output is fed back to the other comparator input. A d.c. voltage amplifier in the feedback loop has an offset input and the measurement signal is taken from its output and subjected to further processing. The rectifier is pref. a diode (D1), coupled to a smoothing capacitor (C1). USE/ADVANTAGE - For use in radio and televison applications. Robust and simple circuit with increased linearity range.
