The belt having traction supports and opt. inserts against impact wear-and-tear is new. The running side of the belt comprises a running layer and an intermediate layer. A means, e.g. a belt is included in the intermediate layer at least in the load-subjected support region of the conveyor belt above a carrier roll to take up longitudinal forces. USE/ADVANTAGE - The belts are used e.g. in open-pit mining conveyor belt systems and are rip resistant.
