The cast iron boiler is made up of sections coupled together by sealed flanges. It alternates an inner skin (8) with outer flanges (9), an outer skin (6) with inner flanges (7) combining to form a water jacket. The edges of the sections (6,8) have cast-in grooves (11) for a sealing strip (12) which is seated in the flanges (9,7) of adjoining sections. The flange webs (10) have openings to link adjoining water chambers (1). USE/ADVANTAGE - Has all the advantages of a section boiler.
