Damper for torsional oscillations - is fitted on IC engine output shaft and has extra weights with guides, and extensions supporting rollers

The damper is for torsional oscillations in an output shaft, esp. for an IC engine. It incorporates extra weights (6-9) mounted on a part (4) joined to the output shaft. The extra weights (6-9) on the part (4) have guides (10,14; 11,15; 12,16; 13,17) allowing for radial movements. The fixed part has peripheral guides (18,19). The extra weights (6-9) have extensions (20-23) supporting rollers (24-27) running parallel to the output shaft (2). The extensions (20-23) fit into guides running peripherally. USE/ADVANTAGE - The drive unit for an IC engine is compact, containing the torsion-damper.
