Microprocessor control system for angular step synchronous motor - includes voltage controlled frequency generator connected with three=phase generator by ramp control across mixing stage
Functionally connected across a microprocessor are a power amplifier (lES), a rated torque monitor (NMU), a displacement pulse counter (WIZ) and a pulse frequency generator (CLG). The three phase AC generator (DPG) delivers, according to the degree of accuracy, a high resolution three phase frequency, the output voltage regulated via a frequency/voltage converter (FSR). With the help of the microprocessor, and the control input (L/R) of the three phase motor (DM) leading to the three phase generator, a field is produced running in an anticlockwise direction, and reversely a rotating field is produced in a clockwise direction, and the phase positions (R,S,T) running in a clockwise direction are maintained. ADVANTAGE - Gives higher resolution compared to stepper motor. Angle decoder is not required. Gives high adjusting/regulating accuracy.
