A top feed roll can be lifted off by means of a guide rod in the event of a yarn breakage and the roving is clamped on to a table by means of a stop flap. The invention features a spring-loaded toothed rod, into which the electromagnet engages with its spring-loaded armature in the operating position of the drawing system. In the stop position, the electromagnet becomes disengaged in order to release the rod for an adjusting movement. ADVANTAGE - The installation is compact and economical and can be added to a drawing system. It operates reliably and automatically with any fibre material.
