Tobacco flow forming machine - has material fed over pneumatic sluice with compensation for differing types of tobacco and fibre lengths

The machine forms a common tobacco flow for the purpose of simultaneous formation of two endless tobacco runs for cigarette mfr. It uses parallel running delivery units, and an intermediate feed, matched to the width of the tobacco flow, for a tobacco storage unit. Feed members (7) receive tobacco, and guide units (39) diffuse tobacco over the width of the intermediate feed (11). These guide units incorporate a pick-up delivery device (41) drivable transversally to the delivery direction, and counterposed to which is a drivable distributor (42). This distributor is provided with cast-off edges which run inclined to the delivery direction. USE - In cigarette mfr., to form a common tobacco flow in order to build two endless tobacco runs.
