The absorption type gas refrigerator with gas flame ignition is fitted with a light conductor with its incident opening directed towards the gas flame and whose light emergent end is easily identified on the front of the refrigerator. Pref. a metal element reaching into the gas flame illuminates and colours the flame when lit. An optical guide element at the flame end of the light conductor absorbs the flame light and transfers this to the light conductor. USE/ADVANTAGE - Domestic refrigerators. Gas flame check shows flame status at refrigerator front for convenient, rapid detection.
