From e.g. a magnetic tape recorder, or radio receiver (11), left- and right-hand channel signals (12,13) are digitised (ADDL,ADDR) and processed arithmetically to produce crosstalk signals and crosstalk adjustment signals, reconverted to analog form (DADL,DADR) for power amplifiers (AMPL,AMPR) and loudspeakers (SL,SR) at different angles w.r.t. the listeners (3a,4a). The processor (14) incorporates acoustic field control units, filters, delay units, buffers and adders in both channels. The buffers perform level corrections after rephasing of the signal in each channel. USE/ADVANTAGE - For car recorders and radio receivers, with natural quality and lateral symmetry reproduction.
