The pref. parabolic main reflector (2) has a circular cylindrical collar (3) set at an angle around an offset subreflector (4) and exciter (5), with a floor cover (6), integrating the RF system components in a min. space. An annular stiffener (7) of GFRP laminate is bracketed (8) to fixing and connecting rods (14,17) secured to a tubular mast. A rectangular manhole in the floor is covered (9) by two overlapped A1 sheets while the antenna is transported. USE/ADVANTAGE - For direction-finding in the GHz frequency band, with interference in tightly meshed networks countered by side-lobe suppression in the horizontal plane.
