The pipes for the two media handled in the heat transfer unit run in a winding formation, producing a hollow cylindrical formation, the wall of which consists of alternating windings from the first and second winds. The dia. of the two windings is different. The pipes (1a,2a) have a triangular cross-section in thier adjacent areas, in which the points of the inner pipe (2) are directed outwards, and those of the outer pipe (1) are directed into the interior of the hollow cylinder. The inner pipe (2a) has a cross-section which bulges to the cylinder centre, and the outer pipe has a drawn-in cross-section to the cylinder centre. The cross-section of the outer pipe (1a) also has a downwardly pointing extension (3). USE - As a heat transfer unit with sepd. pipes for the two media handled.
