The noise protection wall or slope retention wall, consists of wire lattice baskets, positioned above each other. The baskets have longitudinal and cross walls, connected to form a rectangle, and filled with earth or stones. The longitudinal walls (3, 4) are formed as wire lattice mats. These are longer than the distance between the transverse walls (5, 5`) and positioned in an outward directed curve (8, 9). The transverse walls have horizontal bars. These extend past the last vertical bars, and have a hook, open to the top, with an end section parallel to the vertical bars. The transverse walls also have stiffening elements. These are connected to the wire mats forming the walls, so as to transmit tensile and pressure forces.
