The invention relates to a box trap for catching animals alive, consisting of a trap chamber and a bait chamber, the two chambers each being closed by an end wall, and proposes, for the injury-free trapping of predetermined game, that the exchangeable end wall of the trap chamber be provided with an entry aperture adjusted to the game to be caught, and that a hinged flap be assigned to the end wall, used as selected, to mask the entry aperture therein.
