Appts. for continuous operation melts blocks of hot melt material (and particularly such adhesives and/or sealants) on a heated surface. Its main frame holds at least one component with an approx. vertical heated surface, a horizontal or slightly inclined conveyor to feed and/or press hot melt blocks on it, and a receiver to collect melt beneath the component mentioned. ADVANTAGE - The apparatus can melt any shape of hot melt material. Its output rate can be adjusted. It melts the material completely and economically.
