The present invention relates to a method for producing a spark plug well, as well as to a set of elements intended to form at least one spark plug well according to this method. The method in accordance with the invention is characterised in that it consists in inserting and in holding in a fixed position in the mould of the cylinder head during the operation of casting the latter, at least one tubular spark plug well (11), using at least one tubular support element (12) secured to the element (11) and placing the latter in communication with the atmosphere in order to ensure a circulation of cooling air.
