The device comprises a soft magnetic alloy magnetic circuit (4) and, on this magnetic circuit, at least one winding (6, 8); the electrical voltage appearing across the terminals of the winding when the device is placed in a magnetic field (B1) leads to the saturation of the soft magnetic alloy of the magnetic circuit, enabling this magnetic field and its variations to be detected.
