A device for identifying the phases in a low voltage multiphase electricity distribution network. The device comprises means (1) for sending over each phase a coded identification signal and means (2) for receiving and thus detecting the coded identification signal for each phase. Means for identifying each phase are provided from the coded identification signal received and detected. Application to the maintenance and running of low voltage electricity distribution networks.
