Electronic igniter module with built-in delay for a detonator, including an igniter circuit (19, 30) comprising a reservoir capacitor (18) intended, after charging, to be discharged in order to generate an electrical firing pulse in a primer head (13) of the said detonator, as well as a logic unit (25) able to communicate with an external control unit (17) which sends it information as well as commands, especially, on the one hand, for arming the reservoir capacitor (18) and, on the other hand, for firing, on the basis of which the said logic unit (25) acts on the said igniter circuit (19, 30), the said module being characterised in that it includes means (20, 23) allowing it to be short-circuited without the charge state of its reservoir capacitor (18) being thereby affected. In the firing assembly, these modules (15) are mounted in series or in parallel. The method allows these modules (15) to be charged in line. IMAGE
