Rescue device in the event of avalanche or burial. The invention relates to a device enabling a person buried under snow or other debris to be kept alive, until the arrival of rescue (approximately 11/2 hours autonomy). It consists of an impermeable nylon bag (1) worn (held) on the body by crossed straps (2) and a horizontal element (3), having a precut valve (5) on a tab (4) which is fixed to the bag, when not in operation, by a "Velcro" (6) R device. When the user triggers the inflation by means of the bottle (cylinder) (7), it allows the straightening of the tab in front of the person's face and the release of air at the end of inflation. Thus, this allows protection of the vital parts in an accident, and, consequently, enables an air cavity to be created while waiting for rescue, guided by the distress beacon (8). The device according to the invention is particularly intended for any person skiing off-piste, and also for mountain climbers, hikers, or indeed, possibly, in mining operations. IMAGE
