Process for characterisation using synchrotron radiation of catalysts operating under reaction atmospheres under pressure and at high temperature and appropriate apparatus
Process for characterisation using synchrotron radiation of catalysts operating under reaction atmospheres under pressure and at high temperature and appropriate apparatus
Process for the characterisation using synchrotron radiation of a catalyst in cells in the course of catalytic reactions at atmospheric pressure and at high pressure. The invention makes it possible to follow the structural, morphological and chemical changes in heterogeneous catalysts such as oxide phases or metal phases dispersed on an oxide support, in a dynamic regime, at temperature and under pressure, under oxidising or reducing reaction atmospheres and capable of containing an organic chemical reactant. The process makes it possible to carry out the pretreatment and/or the activation and/or the modification of a catalyst, the catalytic reaction itself, the monitoring of the performance of a catalyst by chromatographic analyses and the structural change of the catalyst, using synchrotron radiation.
