Apparatus for imparting rocking or oscillatory movement to a device 3, 4 such as a flexible container having a bottle-like shape, comprises a plurality of gears 14, 151, 152, 16 rotatable by a drive means 13 such as a battery driven electric motor, and an arm 17 pivotally mounted on a frame 12, said arm having on one side of the pivot guide means 171 engaged by a projection 161 extending from one of the gears 16 and serving to rock the arm backwards and forwards upon rotation of the gears, said arm having means 174 on the opposite side of the pivot for connection to the device 3, 4 to be rocked or oscillated.
