An injectable pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of cancers susceptible to treatment therewith, the composition comprising:P P(a) an effective amount of S-(methylthio)- DL-homocysteine or the L-enantimorph thereof;PP(b) an effective amount of a copper chelate of nitrilotriacetic acid or an effective amount of a copper chelate of a bis-thiosemicarbazone; and PP(c) a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
