A method of purifying human serum albumin which comprises subjecting human serum albumin-containing solution to heat treatment of about 50. degree.-70° C. for 1-5 hours in the presence of acetyltryptophan and/or an organic carboxylic acid with 6-12 carbon atoms or a salt thereof.
