PURPOSE:To correctly measure the press-fitting load and pulling-out load by installing a load cell which senses the load both in the compression and elongation direction in the contact state with a piston rod and the edge surface of a movable arm. CONSTITUTION:A movable arm 15 is fitted at the edge part of the piston rod 14 of a cylinder 11, and a load cell 25 is installed so as to contact the movable arm 15 and the edge surface of the piston rod 14. A peak detector 26 for displaying the load is connected with the load cell 25. The load cell 25 receives a stress between the movable arm 15 and a nut 27 when the movable arm 15 shifts in the A direction and press-fits a driving shaft. While, when the movable arm 15 shifts in the B direction and applies a pressure in the slip-off direction onto the driving shaft, the load cell 25 receives a stress between the edge surface 14b of the piston rod 14 and a bolt 28.
