PURPOSE:To efficiently remove harmful components such as CO, NOx, unburned hydrocarbon or the like, by combining a front stage catalyst bed containing Pd and Pt as active components, a middle stage catalyst bed containing Pt as an active component and a post stage catalyst bed containing Pt and Pd as active components.
