PURPOSE:To obtain an aging diagnostic method for a power cable by means of a DC component method which enables measurement of a DC component handily. CONSTITUTION:In an aging diagnosis method using a negative resistance, first, a current I1 flowing through a cable insulating body is measured with DC voltage E=E1 given as the procedure of ensuring resonance of a negative resistance Z and a sheath resistance Rs. Then, with the DC voltage E=E2(not equal to E1, E2-E1=1V) given, the current I2 flowing through the cable insulating body is measured again. Moreover, with the DC voltage E=O given, operation is performed to run the current through the cable insulating body.
