ADSORPTION TYPE HEAT PIPE AND ADSORPTION TYPE REFRIGERATOR USING SAID ADSORPTION TYPE HEAT PIPE

PURPOSE: To construct a unitized adsorption heat pipe, and to promote the miniaturization and the simplified form of the device, by storing a solid adsorbent and refrigerant in an annular space that is formed in the gap of a double pipe, and by maintaining the interior of a closed pipe to a vacuum system with a small capacity. CONSTITUTION: When an adsorption heat pipe (a) heats the inner pipe 11 in the side of a solid adsorbent 15 with a heating medium in the heat source side, and at the same time cools the outer pipe 12 in the heat transfer fin 17 mounting side, it heats to desorb the solid adsorbent 15, and cools to condense the ejected refrigerant steam on the surface of the heat transfer fin 17 to hold it in the condition of a liquid film. Next, if the inner pipe 11 is cooled, the solid adsorbent 15 adsorbs the refrigerant steam which fills annular space 13. The refrigerant liquid that sticks to the surface of the heat transfer fin 17 is actively evaporated to take away the heat of vaporization from the heat transfer fin 17, and then the heating medium in the utilization side of the fluid passage touching the outer pipe 12 of the heat transfer fin 17 mounting side of the adsorption heat pipe (a) is cooled. This heating medium in the utilization side is supplied to a fin coil unit to perform a cooling operation.
